Thanks to its colorful buildings, vegetation and sea, Puerto Viejo de Limón looks like a postcard from afar and if you look closer, you can perceive a relaxing atmosphere in which the Latin, Indian and Afro-Caribbean cultures are mixed.

The community of Puerto Viejo is located in the canton of Talamanca, facing the Caribbean Sea, 59 km south of the city of Limón and 17 km from Cahuita, along the road that connects the city of Limón with the border community of Sixaola.
