Monteverde is a cloud forest biological reserve, located in the northwest sector of the province of Puntarenas, known worldwide for the natural riches it offers to scientists and tourists.
The activity takes place surrounded by many natural sites suitable for the observation of hundreds of species and natural landscapes, where the visitor can enjoy of many attractive activities such as hiking trails, hanging bridges, canopy and tours to see butterflies and frogs.
Monteverde has a network of trails that goes for thirteen kilometers, where you can access impressive stays such as “La Ventana”, a viewpoint to appreciate the continental divide and the effect caused in the natural environment by the moisty trade winds that come from the Atlantic coast scattered to the coastal plains of north part of the Costa Rican Pacific.
Santa Elena, El Bosque Eterno de los Niños, the Volcán Arenal National Park and privately owned areas are located within Monteverde’s protected zones.
