Golfito
Golfito, head of the canton of the same name, has peculiarities that make it different and surprising:
- It is a picturesque coastal community, several kilometers long and three hundred meters wide.
- It denotes a “civil town” and an “American zone” with comfortable wooden houses, high ceilings and ample ventilation sources to cool the interior.
- It has a splendid panoramic view, towards a sector of Golfo Dulce.
- It has a port where cruises frequently arrive.
- The Gulf is characterized by having a depth that allows the docking of boats of great draft.
- Here is the Golfito Free Commerical Deposit, declared a free port in 1990.
These and other peculiarities make Golfito a well-known Costa Rican community, but not many people know that it is one of the most complete and unimaginable gardens on the face of the Earth.
