Mitsubishi Sport Montero

After several months of waiting, the new Mitsubishi Montero Sport made its debut last weekend during the Auto Show in Bangkok and according to the brand for the next year will be available in most world markets.

Depending on where you sell, this SUV will be named Montero Sport, Pajero Sport or Challenger. During the launch in Bangkok, it was mentioned that the first markets where it will be Africa, Australia, Latin America, Russia and parts of Asia.

Interestingly enough there was no confirmation of release in the United States. In this regard, the representative of the brand in the country confirmed that the amendments necessary for that market may be too expensive to justify its sale.

This vehicle is based on the Mitsubishi Triton, better known in these parts as L200 and among its most notable features are the design Mitsubishi Dynamic Shield in front, while the back we find a conventional gate flanked by vertical lights.

The kit includes a new selection system management that provides better performance and greater stability in off-road conditions. In addition, Montero Sport benefits from an optimized suspension and some improvements to body level, resulting in greater comfort and maneuverability.

It will also have electronic security features, such as: blind spot detection camera 360 degrees and mitigation system in a frontal collision. Likewise, a new system able to slow the vehicle if the ultrasonic sensors detect obstructions in the path adds.

This system regulates engine power if the driver presses the accelerator by mistake be stationary or traveling at speeds below 10 km/h.
