Puerto Viejo de Talamaca Beach

It is known simply as Puerto Viejo on the premises and should not be confused with Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui in Heredia. Most of the roads coming to this town are in poor condition being the main highway the only paved road to Limon Manzanillo. The streets here are paved dirty. But Puerto Viejo gives a touch of rustic look that is unique and distinctive. Here the people are very friendly and all this adds to the charm of the village.

La Playa Salsa Brava in Puerto Viejo is famous for its fabulous beaches and is a paradise for sufistas. But they warn that its waters have a very strong start to flow, so it is not advisable to swim. This beach is excellent for experienced only.
