This four hour trip by car from San Jose, but can go much faster if you travel by plane from Liberia International Airport and then drive 2 hours via Nicoya to Samara. It should be remembered that this small village has its own airstrip for small planes. Samara is a quiet town that is at the foot of a steep hill. The main road leads right to the village and ends at the magnificent beach or Samara Samara Beach. This beach is ideal if you want to break to enjoy a quiet holiday or if you want a fun vacation with your family. If you make a left before the road along the beach you will find many hotels and restaurants with very good price. Moreover, this road leads to the beautiful and luxurious Hotel Punta Islita and the charming Playa Carrillo.
