La región del Pacífico Norte esta llena de belleza, variadas texturas y playas de coloridas arenas. Esta región del Pacífico esta principalmente formada por la provincia de Guanacaste y ofrece muchos atractivos, por eso es uno de los destinos más visitados de Costa Rica. Posee su propio Aeropuerto Internacional llamado Daniel Oduber, ubicado en el cantón de Liberia, mediante el cual se puede llegar directamente a esta tierra del encanto que le ofrece gran variedad de sitios de hospedaje, excitantes actividades como buceo en aguas profundas, pesca y golf. Esta es una región de encuentros ancestrales y donde siempre hay algo que descubrir.

Casi todas las playas del Pacífico Norte son apropiadas para el surf y son buenas también para nadar o simplemente bañarse en sus cálidas aguas. En estas playas abundan los ecosistemas, que son el hábitat para una gran variedad de peces, tiburones, manta rayas y camarones, convirtiéndose así en excelentes lugares para bucear.

Entre las playas más conocidas y hermosas podemos encontrar Tamarindo, Flamingo, Punta Islita, Playa Hermosa, Sámara, Conchal y las aquellas que encuentran en el particular Golfo de Papagayo.

Para quienes quieren disfrutar de un buen rato navegando sobre la superficie del mar la pesca deportiva es buena opción. Las especies más comunes de encontrar aquí son: marlin, sword, atún, dorado, wahoo y papagayo.
