If you are planning your trip to Costa Rica and want your Rent a Car service to deliver the vehicle to the airport parking lot, we will do it! In less than 20 minutes you leave with a rented vehicle from the Airport parking lot. Of course, complying with the documents requested in advance.

How does this service work?
When you reserve your vehicle at Rioja Rent a Car, you must provide us with your flight information: airline, flight number and estimated time of arrival. With that information, we will send a representative to pick you up, either at the Daniel Oduber Airport in Liberia or the Juan Santamaría Airport in San José.
For example, in San José, we will be outside the airport in the arrivals area, in front of Deli Los Malinches with a sign with your name. From there, we take you to the parking lot to inspect the vehicle and sign the contract. That easy!
What documentation do I need to provide?
Once in the airport parking lot, we will ask you for several documents that were previously coordinated to be delivered, such as a driver’s license, passport and credit card. We will check the entry stamp in your passport as you must have tourist status to be able to use your country’s driver’s license.
Will they ask me for a credit card?
Yes. You will need to present a credit card (all cards accepted) to cover the security deposit. Debit cards are also allowed, but only international.
You must have at least $1,000 available on your card to make that security deposit, plus the rental amount. If you want to leave the security deposit with one card and the rental payment with another, there will be no problem.
Where do I deliver the vehicle at the end of my trip in Costa Rica?
The comfort and flexibility that our car rental in Costa Rica offers you is from start to finish. When you are leaving the country, you can return the car in the same place, in the airport parking lot so you can take your return flight without complications.
We recommend that you plan the vehicle drop-off time with enough time before the flight departure time, as traffic can be heavy at certain times.
