The Directorate of Migration and Immigration provides for a million of expenses and revenues to the country during the high season.
This was confirmed to Monumental News, Kathya Rodríguez, director of Migration, who explained that since this November 15 and until the next January 2 maintains the high season of migratory movements.
According to Rodriguez is reinforced especially the northern border, in Peñas Blancas, where it is hoped at least 185 thousand exits and entries into the country.
During previous december have requested an average of one thousand passports per day and in the month of November, there were a total of 20 thousand requests.
The Director of Immigration and Nationality in addition reported that it works in the operations to prevent the entry and exit of the country illegally.
Rodriguez recalled that enabled 21 windows in Mails of Costa Rica to request passport for minors.
The interested party only has to call the phone number 1311 and select option number 2, where you can request an appointment to be served in any of the 25 points of the postal agencies in Costa Rica throughout the country.
Rodriguez added that 20% of the passports processed belong to minors, so that the new service will expedite the process during this end of the year.
