Araya and Solis will face off in a second round in Costa Rica

Luis Guillermo Solis and Johnny Araya appear virtually tied for the that there will be a second round.

 PAC, the surprise in the elections 
The ruling National Liberation Party (PLN) was punished on Sunday in the presidential elections in Costa Rica by being forced to face in a second round to the Citizens Action Party (PAC), center-left, which surprisingly won in the first round. The university professor and the candidate of the PAC, Luis Guillermo Solis, to which the surveys were in fourth place, will face the next April 6 to Johnny Araya, the mayor of San Jose for 21 years and the candidate of the PLN, social democratic party of court traditionally led by the Nobel Peace Prize and former president Oscar Arias.
